Epic Day
Earthquake + Visually Impaired Kids = Hectic!
So I helped out at another preschool classroom today and that was already crazy because I didn’t know how the kids were or how the class was going to be. While we were having Interactive Story Time, there was a earthquake. We were taken by surprised and we just stared at each other, then all of us said Oh my gosh! and we quickly gathered up the children off the floor and stuck them under the tiny tiny preschool table. It was funny because a few of them thought we were playing and wanted to crawl out of the table. When we were getting the kids to run under the table, I realized that man I really love these kids, even though I only knew them for 2 hours. I was so worried that the earthquake was going to go on and our kids safety would be jeopardized. Thank God it was a rather small one, and all our kids remained calm.
After the evacuation, we call came back to class for recess. Its been a while since I played imaginary house. The girls took my hand and asked me if I wanted to join them, and of course I agreed. They decided that I would be grandma, I have NEVER felt so old before! I liked playing imaginary house with them, it was such a good break from the troubles of the world. Not only was I grandma but I also got “arrested” for bombing the kitchen by Sawyer. But luckily, my girls came and rescued me from “jail”. As we were hiding and running away from the “police”, our “baby” said “Grandma, I love you! ” and give me a kiss! I instantly melted!
Why are kids so adorable!!!!!
